Lifeguard Headquarters and Public Restroom Project The work consists of constructing a new Lifeguard Headquarters and Public Restroom facility at Main Beach Park, 175 North Coast Highway, Laguna Beach. The new facility will be a one story building of approximately 3,000 square feet with a basement of equal size for a total of 6,000 square feet. The cost for construction, based on preliminary plans, is $6 million.
Bidding is restricted to pre-qualified general contractors that were selected through a previous process. Sub-contractors are not required to be pre-qualified and may bid directly to the approved pre-qualified general contractors identified in the notice inviting bids.

The cost estimate for construction, based on preliminary plans, is $7 million.

Downtown Specific Plan Area/Laguna Canyon Road Parking Management Plan RFP
The City of Laguna Beach is seeking proposals and qualifications from experienced consultants to prepare recommendations to maximize effectiveness of existing public and publicly accessible parking resources within the Downtown Specific Plan and Laguna Canyon Road areas. The conclusions of the Consultant will generally consist of an evaluation and inventory of best management practices for more efficient use of the City’s parking resources in the project area. The selected consultant will analyze the current parking operations and management practices within the Downtown and Laguna Canyon areas, during both peak and non-peak conditions and make planning, financial, and operational recommendations for the project area. The submitted Downtown/Laguna Canyon Area parking recommendations should recognize the importance of a balanced, multimodal transportation network that meets the needs of all users of streets, roads, and highways; including, pedestrians, bicyclists, children, persons with disabilities, seniors, movers of commercial goods, users of public transportation and motorists.

Fire Station No. 4 Window Replacement Project In general, the work includes the removal and replacement of 23 existing windows at Fire Station No. 4 in accordance with the project specifications and installation instructions. Windows on the second floor of the Fire Station opposite Virginia Way (overlooking residences) shall be frosted windows per manufacturer's recommendations. New interior window treatment shall be provided on all windows in accordance with the project specifications. Fire Station No. 4 is located at 31646 2nd Avenue in the City of Laguna Beach.

City Hall Network Cabling Project In general, the project consists of updating the data cabling network throughout the City Hall first and second floor, two exterior trailers and one outlying maintenance building. The current network consists of miscellaneous category 5 and category 3 cabling throughout. The City Hall building currently has two server rooms, and one intermediate distribution frame. The new cabling project will consist of installing new category 6e cable to the workstations, installing new multimode fiber optic cable for the backbone, and installing new PVC conduit for the fiber optic cable to feed existing areas.

City Hall Roof Replacement/HVAC Upgrades and Energy Efficient Systems Project This is an RFP for a Design/Build Energy Efficiency Performance Contract.
The work comprises the design and construction of HVA equipment replacement and upgrades at City Hall, replacement of the City Hall roof and lighting retrofits at various City facilities in the City of Laguna Beach. Proposers are advised that this Performance Contract has design/build elements included.
